The mandatory identity verification under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (ECCTA) is now in operation at Companies House.
Your individual identity verification due date is now shown on the public record.
This means your compliance status (or lack thereof) is visible to anyone. We recommend everyone check the register today to see exactly when their deadline falls.
How to get sorted in good time:
Check the register: Visit Companies House to find the specific verification due date for your role.
Verify your indentity: Use the GOV.UK One Login service (it only takes a few minutes with a photo ID).
Link your code:
● Directors: You will provide your code on your next Confirmation Statement.
● PSCs: You must provide your personal code and verification statement here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/provide-psc-verification.
Don’t leave it to the last minute. A non-compliant record can lead to fines, blocked filings, and eventually, the inability to act as a director.
